John Ayanian
- 略歴：
- John Z. Ayanian, MD, MPP is the Alice Hamilton Distinguished University Professor of Medicine and Healthcare Policy at the University of Michigan. He has served since 2012 as the Director of the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation, which includes over 700 faculty members at the University. His research focuses on access to care, quality of care, and health equity. He is the founding Editor in Chief of JAMA Health Forum. Dr. Ayanian is an elected member of the US National Academy of Medicine. He earned his AB degree from Duke University, MD and MPP degrees from Harvard University.

- 略歴：
- Dr. Takahiro Higashi is a professor of Public Health and Health Policy at The University of Tokyo. He is a board-certified general internist trained at St. Luke's International Hospital, and received extensive training in research at UCLA Division of General Internal Medicine and Health Services Research, where he also obtained his PhD in Health Services.
His primary research interest is in quality of cancer care. At the National Cancer Center, he established a quality monitoring system for cancer care in Japan using a database linking hospital-based cancer registries and health services utilization data, as well as national patient experience survey.
